Tara was the first cocker spaniel to be brought to Druimmuir when she was bought as an 8 week old pup.  She is in every way a typical cocker and she comes from excellent breeding lines with her sire having won the Cocker Championships in 1999 and also several other cocker championship winners feature within her pedigree on both sides.

She is a very keen young bitch and a fast learner, with plenty of style and drive when hunting. Her retrieving is also coming on well and she has had experience on both cold and warm game, including pheasant, partridge, rabbits and hare.  She also has a lovely delivery taking game directly to hand and she has a lovely soft mouth. She’s spent the last season picking up and this year (2005) she has been a regular member of the picking up team, and invaluable when sweeping up after the drives. She’s not shy of cover and is also a keen water dog.
